Yes — the Image Compressor and Color Palette are completely free. The AI Writer requires API keys from providers like Groq (free), Mistral (free tier), Gemini (free tier), or Claude (pay-as-you-go).
Can I install it on my phone?+
Yes! Open the site in Chrome or Safari and tap "Add to Home Screen". It installs as a native-feeling app with offline support.
Are my images uploaded to a server?+
Never. The Image Compressor runs 100% in your browser using the Canvas API. Your images never leave your device.
Which AI model should I use?+
Groq (Llama 3.3) is the fastest and free. Gemini is great for creative tasks. Claude is the most capable for complex writing. Mistral is solid for European users.
How do I get API keys?+
Groq: console.groq.com — Mistral: console.mistral.ai — Gemini: aistudio.google.com — Claude: console.anthropic.com. All have free tiers except Claude which is pay-as-you-go.
Is my data private?+
Yes. Palettes and AI history are saved only to your browser's localStorage. Nothing is stored on our servers. Your API keys are server-side only and never exposed.
Can I use this offline?+
Partially. The Color Palette and Image Compressor work fully offline. The AI Writer needs an internet connection to reach AI providers.
